Valparaiso Restaurant

4 Hardman Street has been a Chilean restaurant (Liverpool's only one) since 1985. Established by a Chilean refugee (now the Honorary Consul), Valparaiso continues to have strong connections with Chile, including a project with Chilean firefighters.

The flavours of South America are evident in the food and wine, decor and music. There is an extensive vegetarian menu with imaginative use of South American staples: corn, pumpkin, tomatoes, beans and avocadoes, and fish and seafood specialities, for example ceviche (fish marinated in lime juice), scallops, paella and fish soup.

The first floor function room is available for private parties, with a range of menus and Latin American buffets to choose from.

Valparaiso was recently refurbished but has retained its cosy and relaxed atmosphere.
