But scratch the surface, and there's a huge range of sports on offer: rugby league continues to rise in popularity, led Tennis Tournament image by St.Helens Saints and Widnes Vikings, while the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament attracts some of the world's top tennis talents, including Goran Ivanisevic, Pat Cash and Xavier Malisse. This May saw the first Liverpool 08 Squash Tournament at St George's Hall, and the event is expected to grow to form a major event in the world squash calendar.
